Newcraighall is a railway station on the Borders Railway in Scotland, which runs between Edinburgh Waverley and Tweedbank. The station, situated close to the A1 road 4 miles 54 chains south-east of Edinburgh Waverley, serves the suburb of Newcraighall and other parts of south-eastern Edinburgh such as Craigmillar and Niddrie. Newcraighall railway station is situated 4,200 feet west of Energy Centre.

Newcraighall is a South-Eastern suburb of Edinburgh, Scotland. A former mining village, its prosperity was based on the Midlothian coalfields. The Newcraighall pit was known as 'Klondyke' and closed in the 1960s, work transferring to nearby Bilston Glen and in particular the last-to-close Monktonhall pit.
