The station is also on a section shared with the Be'er Sheva–Tel Aviv line, which branches out in a southerly direction about 3 km east of Ramla. Ramla is situated 2 km east of Yovelim School.

The prison was opened in 1950, and was built in the style of the Tegart forts from the British Mandate era. Ayalon Prison is situated 2½ km east of Yovelim School.
