It was originally two different schools; Hov Upper Secondary School and Ask Upper secondary School, but they merged to Askim Upper Secondary School for practical reasons. Askim Upper Secondary School is situated 110 metres northwest of Yrkesfaglig.

Askim Station is located at Askim, Norway on the Eastern Østfold Line. The railway station is served by the Oslo Commuter Rail line L22 from Oslo Central Station. The station was opened with the eastern line of Østfold Line in 1882. Askim station is situated 750 metres north of Yrkesfaglig.
