It is the official residence of the grand duke of Luxembourg, and where he performs most of his duties as head of state of the grand duchy, though his principal residence is Berg Castle, in Colmar-Berg. Grand Ducal Palace is situated 140 metres west of Saint Michael’s Church, Luxembourg.
