Black Fortress

Sev Berd or Black Fortress is an abandoned Russian imperial fortress in Gyumri, Shirak Province, Armenia. The fortress, which lies 8 kilometres from the Turkish border, was built in response to the Russo-Turkish War of 1828–1829. Black Fortress is situated 1¼ km northeast of Trchunyan Tun.

The Mother Armenia monumental statue is a female personification of Armenia, located in the city of Gyumri. It resembles the monumental complex of Mother Armenia in the capital Yerevan. Mother Armenia is situated 1 km northeast of Trchunyan Tun.

Vardanants Square

Vartanants Square or Vardanants Square, is the large central town square in Gyumri, Armenia. It is bordered by Abovyan street from the west, Gai street from the north, Shahumyan street from the east and Vahan Cheraz street from the south. Vardanants Square is situated 2½ km northeast of Trchunyan Tun.

Arapi is a village in the Akhuryan Municipality of the Shirak Province of Armenia. Statistical Committee of Armenia reported its population was 2,053 in 2010, up from 1,980 at the 2001 census.

Gyumri
