Porth yr Ogof is a solutional cave near the village of Ystradfellte, near the southern boundary of the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. It lies on the course of the Afon Mellte, a river whose name translates as 'lightning', commonly explained as a reference to the "flashy" nature of the river, i.e. its rising and falling rapidly in response to rainfall. Porth yr Ogof is situated 3,500 feet south of New Inn.

The Maen Madoc or Maen Madog stone is a menhir which lies adjacent to the Roman road Sarn Helen that runs across the Brecon Beacons in what was a key area of Roman Wales, about one mile north of Ystradfellte. Maen Madoc is situated 1½ miles northwest of New Inn.
