Picnic Island is a small, privately owned, rocky island, with an area of about one hectare, part of the Schouten Island Group, lying close to the eastern coast of Tasmania near the Freycinet Peninsula. Picnic Island is situated 2½ km west of Freycinet National Park Campground (Sand dune sites 19-45).

The Cape Tourville Lighthouse is an unmanned, automatic lighthouse built in 1971 by private contractors. The road was constructed through virgin eucalypt forest, along with the powerline, with minimal disruption to the National Park. Cape Tourville Lighthouse is situated 3½ km east of Freycinet National Park Campground (Sand dune sites 19-45).
