Eilat's Coral World Underwater Observatory is a public aquarium, park and conservation center located in Eilat, Israel. It is the biggest public aquarium in Israel, and it hosts over 800 species. The Underwater Observatory Marine Park is situated 760 metres northeast of Lighthouse Beach.

The Taba Border Crossing, also known in Israel as the Menachem Begin Crossing, is an international border crossing between Taba, in Egypt, and Eilat, in Israel. The Taba Border Crossing is the southernmost point in Israel. Taba Border Control is situated 1¼ km southwest of Lighthouse Beach.

Eilat's Coral Beach Nature Reserve and Conservation area is a nature reserve and national park in the Red Sea, near the city of Eilat in Israel. It covers 1.2 kilometres of shore, and is the northernmost shallow water coral reef in the world, and possibly one of the more resilient to climate change. Hof Ha-Almuggim Be-Elat Nature Reserve is situated 1¼ km northeast of Lighthouse Beach.

Taba, in the eastern Sinai peninsula of Egypt, is on the border with Israel, close to the city and airport of Eilat. The area within one km of the border is a duty-free zone with a couple of large resort hotels, a few shops, the bus station and other amenities.

Eilat is the only Israeli city on the Red Sea. Eilat is the southernmost town in Israel, isolated from the rest of the country by the Negev desert. It's sandwiched between Taba in Egypt and Aqaba in Jordan, and often used as an access route to those cities because of its large modern Ramon airport.
