Shanghai High School is a public high school in Shanghai, China. Founded in 1865 as Longmen Academy by Shanghai Intendant Ding Richang, and later becoming the namesake high school of Shanghai in 1949, it is locally considered one of the city's most prestigious high schools, hailed as part of the "Big Four" high schools of Shanghai. Shanghai High School is situated 230 metres southwest of 美术中心.

Covering 81.86 hectares, the garden has a renowned penjing garden, as well as collections of magnolias, roses, azaleas, peonies, conifers, maples, osmanthus and bamboo. Shanghai Botanical Garden is situated 1 km northeast of 美术中心.
