Koonya is a rural locality in the local government area of Tasman in the South-east LGA region of Tasmania. The locality is about 18 kilometres north-east of the town of Nubeena. Koonya is situated 4 km southeast of Price Bay.

Taranna is a small township of 156 on the Tasman Peninsula, about 9 km north of Port Arthur. It's home of the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, a popular place to see Tasmanian devils.
