Cote d'Azur, known locally as the Blue Beach is a beach resort located 8 kilometers north of Latakia, Syria along the Mediterranean coast, on a site of archaeological importance called Ras Ibn Hani.

Ras Ibn Hani, Ugaritic Raʾšu, is a small cape located 8 kilometers north of Latakia, Syria on the Mediterranean Sea. It is an important archaeological site as it was occupied almost continuously from the late Bronze Age until Byzantine times.

Ugarit was an ancient Levantine coastal city located in what is today northern Syria, at a site known in Arabic as Ras Shamra or Tell Shamra. Since its discovery in 1928, the site has revealed the oldest known systematic use of an alphabet. Ugarit is situated 4 km northeast of Al Madīnah as Siyāḩīyah.
