The Repentance Tower is a very rare example of a mid-16th century watch tower standing on Trailtrow Hill, six miles north-west of Annan, Dumfries and Galloway. Repentance Tower is situated 1½ miles southwest of Hoddomcross.

The village was a planned the concept dating to 1800 from the Paisley-Dirom family of Mount Annan, set around a bridge over the River Annan. Brydekirk is situated 2 miles south of Hoddomcross.

Kirtlebridge is a village in Dumfries and Galloway, southern Scotland. It is located 8 kilometres north-east of Annan, 5 kilometres north-west of Kirkpatrick-Fleming, and 1.5 kilometres south of Eaglesfield. Kirtlebridge is situated 3½ miles east of Hoddomcross.
