Easter Aquhorthies stone circle

Easter Aquhorthies stone circle, located near Inverurie in north-east Scotland, is one of the best-preserved examples of a recumbent stone circle and one of the few that still have their full complement of stones and the only one that has all its stones still standing without having been re-erected.

Fetternear Palace

Fetternear Bishop's Palace is an archaeological site of what was one of the palaces of the medieval bishops of Aberdeen. It is near Kemnay in Aberdeenshire. Later, a ruined tower-house and mansion of Fetternear House were built on part of the site. Fetternear Palace is situated 1½ miles south of Burnhervie.

Kemnay Academy

Kemnay Academy is a secondary school in Kemnay, Aberdeenshire, situated on the banks of the River Don. It is one of seventeen secondary schools run by Aberdeenshire Council and has roughly 1000 pupils. Kemnay Academy is situated 1½ miles south of Burnhervie.

The Colony was a squatters' community on commonty, or common land, on one side of Bennachie, a range of hills near Aberdeen, Scotland. The Colony is situated 2½ miles northwest of Burnhervie.
