Oldmeldrum is a village and parish in the Formartine area of Aberdeenshire, not far from Inverurie in North East Scotland. Oldmeldrum is home to one of the oldest whisky distilleries in Scotland, Glen Garioch, which was built in 1797.

Daviot is a village in Aberdeenshire, 4 miles from the busy town of Inverurie. It is the birthplace of theologian William Robinson Clark. Daviot has one of the best examples of Neolithic stone circles in the north east of Scotland, Loanhead of Daviot stone circle, which comprises 10 stones plus one recumbent stone. Daviot is situated 3½ miles west of Mosshead.
