Cote d'Azur, known locally as the Blue Beach is a beach resort located 8 kilometers north of Latakia, Syria along the Mediterranean coast, on a site of archaeological importance called Ras Ibn Hani. Cotes D’Azure Resort is situated 190 metres northwest of شاليهات روتانا.

Ras Ibn Hani, Ugaritic Raʾšu, is a small cape located 8 kilometers north of Latakia, Syria on the Mediterranean Sea. It is an important archaeological site as it was occupied almost continuously from the late Bronze Age until Byzantine times. Ras Ibn Hani is situated 1 km west of شاليهات روتانا.

Ugarit was an ancient Levantine coastal city located in what is today northern Syria. The site, with its corpus of ancient cuneiform texts, was discovered in 1928. Ugarit is situated 4 km northeast of شاليهات روتانا.
