Ynyshir

Ynyshir is a restaurant in Eglwys Fach, Ceredigion, Wales. It is run by head chef Gareth Ward, who owns it with his partner Amelia Eiriksson, and in 2022 became the first restaurant in Wales to be awarded two Michelin stars. Ynyshir is situated 2,500 feet east of Covert Coch.

Frongoch Quarry

Frongoch slate quarry was a slate quarry and mine in Mid Wales, approximately halfway between Aberdyfi and Pennal. The quarry was named after a nearby farm of the same name. 'Fron goch' is Welsh for 'Red breast'. Frongoch Quarry is situated 1 mile northwest of Covert Coch.

Dovey Junction is a railway station on the Cambrian Line in Wales. It is the junction where the line splits into the line to Aberystwyth and the Cambrian Coast Line to Pwllheli. Dovey Junction railway station is situated 2 miles northeast of Covert Coch.

Furnace is a hamlet in Ceredigion, Wales on the A487 trunk road from Machynlleth to Aberystwyth, near Eglwysfach. It is the location of the Dyfi Furnace, used from the 1750s to the 19th century to make pig iron with charcoal as fuel.
