The Kilpatrick Hills are a range of hills in central Scotland, stretching from Dumbarton in the west to Strathblane in the east. Strathblane divides the Kilpatricks from the Campsie Fells to the east, while to the north is part of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Kilpatrick Hills is situated 1½ miles southwest of The Whangie.

The village is approximately 15 miles north of Glasgow, 7 miles east of Loch Lomond, and sits on the northwest flank of the Campsie Fells, most predominantly in the shadow of the volcanic plug of Dumgoyne, overlooking the confluence of the Endrick Water and Blane Water. Killearn is situated 4 miles northeast of The Whangie.
