Great Bernera

Great Bernera is an island in the Outer Hebrides or Western Isles of Scotland. It lies just off the northwest coast of Lewis and is connected by a bridge.

Eilean Chearstaidh

Eilean Kearstay is an uninhabited island in Loch Roag in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. It lies south east of Great Bernera, just across the water from the headland of Callanish.

Callanish Stones

The Calanais Stones are a prehistoric stone circle and stone alignment on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The monument was built during the Neolithic period, around c. 2750 BC. Callanish Stones is situated 1½ miles east of Tobhtaral.

Calanais is a village on the west side of the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Calanais is within the parish of Uig. A linear settlement with a jetty, it is on a headland jutting into Loch Roag, a sea loch 13 miles west of Stornoway. Callanish is situated 1½ miles east of Tobhtaral.

Breaclete

Breacleit is the central village on Great Bernera in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Breaclete is within the parish of Uig. Although the village name comes from a geographical feature rather than a steading it is generally believed to be an ancient settlement. Breaclete is situated 2½ miles northwest of Tobhtaral.

Garynahine

Garynahine is a settlement on Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Garynahine is situated at a T-junction where roads from Stornoway, Uig and the west side of Lewis all meet. The roads are the A858 and the B8011. Garynahine is within the parish of Uig. Garynahine is situated 3 miles east of Tobhtaral.
