Mynydd Nodol

Mynydd Nodol is a 539m high hill in Snowdonia National Park and lying within the community of Llanycil in the county of Gwynedd in North Wales. It rises above the southern shores of the reservoir Llyn Celyn about 4 km northeast of its higher neighbour Arenig Fawr.

Llyn Celyn is a reservoir constructed between 1960 and 1965 including the highly controversial Tryweryn flooding in the valley of the River Tryweryn in Gwynedd, Wales.

Llyn Arenig Fawr

Llyn Arenig Fawr is a lake and reservoir located to the northeast of Arenig Fawr, a mountain in North Wales. The reservoir's primary purpose is to supply water to the nearby town of Bala and the numerous small villages in the surrounding area.

Llidiardau is a small hamlet in Gwynedd, North Wales, approximately 4 miles northwest of Bala, on an unnamed road, 2.3 miles from Arenig Fawr and in the shadow of Mynydd Nodol. The community population taken at the 2011 census was 20.

Capel Celyn

Capel Celyn was a rural community to the northwest of Bala in Merionethshire, Wales, in the Tryweryn valley. The village and other parts of the valley were flooded in the Tryweryn flooding of 1965 to create a reservoir, Llyn Celyn, in order to supply Liverpool and Wirral with water for industry.

Rhyd-uchaf

Rhyd-uchaf is a hamlet in Gwynedd, Wales, approximately 2.4 miles northwest of Bala and 1.4 miles south of Frongoch, on an unnamed road which provides access to Arenig Fawr. The community population taken at the 2011 census was 78. Rhyd-uchaf is situated 3 miles east of Ffridd Felen.
