The Black Mountain is a hill in the Black Mountains. It is the only Marilyn to fall exactly on the Welsh–English border, and it straddles Powys and Herefordshire. Its parent peak, Waun Fach, lies to the west. Black Mountain is situated 1½ miles southeast of Pen-y-Beacon Stone Circle.

It is a short walk from Hay, the distance between bus stops, and can be reached by walking or driving out of Hay towards Bredwardine, and turning right into Cusop Dingle.
