Frösö Runestone

Frösöstenen is the northernmost raised runestone in Scandinavia and Jämtland's only runestone. It originally stood at the tip of ferry terminal on the sound between the island of Frösön and Östersund.

Östersund Central Station or Östersund C is the main railway station serving Östersund, Sweden. It is located on the Middle Line and the Inland Line and is served by SJ, Norrtåg, Snälltåget and Inlandsbanan- Trains leave for Stockholm a couple of times per day and once a day by Inlandsbanan to Gällivare or to Mora.

Torvalla is a city district in southern Östersund, about six kilometres from the city core. The district has a population of around 8000. Torvalla is divided into 3 smaller areas: Fjällmon or Nedre Torvalla, Skogsmon or Övre Torvalla and Ängsmon or Bortre Torvalla. Torvalla is situated 7 km east of Frösödal.
