Hobart is the capital city of Tasmania and is Australia's second oldest city, after Sydney. Hobart sits along the Derwent River and began humbly as a penal colony.

Port Arthur is a small town and former penal settlement on the Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania, the island state of Australia. The town is about one and a half hours drive from the state capital Hobart.

Greater Hobart

Greater Hobart is the region surrounding the Tasmanian capital of Hobart, taking in the commuter towns to its north, south and east, the diverse landscape around the River Derwent and D'entrecasteaux Channel, as well as the offshore of Bruny Island.

Tasman and South East is a region to the east of Hobart, in the Australian state of Tasmania. Geographically it forms part of Southern Tasmania. Tasman and South East is really two regions, both sparsely populated and close enough that they are often viewed together - turrakana / Tasman Peninsula, and the South East, roughly corresponding to the Tasman and Sorell local government areas.
Huon and Far South

The Huon and Far South is Australia's southernmost inhabited area in southern Tasmania with a population of 17,219. Known for its orchards and production of fruits primarily grown in cold temperate climates, the Huon and Far South alone account for about 10 per cent of Australia's apple production.

Southwest National Park

Southwest National Park is a Tasmanian national park accounting for 10% of Tasmania. It takes up all of the southwest of the state and is one of the many parks that make up the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Site.
