Gateside is a small village in the north east of Fife, Scotland. It is inhabited by around 200 people. It also comprises a school, a park, seven-a-side football pitch, there used to be a village shop, and a pub which has now been converted into a private residence, the Gateside Memorial Hall and a garage. Gateside is situated 1½ miles southeast of Balvaird Castle.

Glenfarg is a village in the Ochil Hills in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. Until 14 June 1964, the village had a railway station, Glenfarg railway station, on the main line between Perth and Edinburgh via Kinross. Glenfarg is situated 2½ miles west of Balvaird Castle.
