Palmachim Airbase is an Israeli Air Force base and spaceport, which the IAF and the Israel Space Agency operate jointly. It is located west of the city of on the Mediterranean coast, 12 km south of the Gush Dan metropolitan area with , named after the Kibbutz a few hundred meters to the north. is situated 570 metres west of Soreq Nuclear Research Center.
