Moncreiffe Hill is a long, wooded ridge that lies south of Perth, Scotland. It can be easily seen on the right during the final stages of the drive north towards Perth on the M90 motorway.

Kilgraston School was a Scottish private boarding and day school that offered single-sex education for girls aged from five to eighteen years old, and a co-educational junior school for girls and boys aged from five to twelve. Kilgraston School is situated 3,800 feet south of Scout Hut.

The village grew up on the south bank of an important crossing of the River Earn, whose sandstone bridge existed from at least the early 14th century, when it is known to have been repaired by order of King Robert I of Scotland.
