Gaziantep

Gaziantep is a city in Southeastern Anatolia. Although it is a major city in Turkey and known as the Turkish capital of gastronomy, it counts very few international tourists. It has a quiet atmosphere and the locals are friendly.
Diyarbakır

Diyarbakır is the largest city in Southeastern Anatolia. It is on the Tigris, one of the greatest rivers of the Middle East, and is considered by many to be the capital of the Kurdish people.
Urfa

Urfa is a city in Southeastern Anatolia, and the provincial capital of Şanlıurfa Province. The modern city of Urfa is situated about 80 km east of the Euphrates River.

Mardin is a historic city in Southeastern Anatolia, Turkey. The city is known for its fascinating architecture and location: heavily decorated stone buildings cascading down a mountain, overlooking the vast expanse of the Mesopotamian plains below.
Siirt

Siirt is a city in the Siirt District of Siirt Province in Turkey. It had a population of 160,340 in 2021. The city is predominantly inhabited by Kurds.
Kilis

Kilis is a city in southernmost Turkey, near the border with Syria, and the administrative centre of Kilis Province and Kilis District. Its population is 112,187. On 6 February 2023 Kilis was badly affected by the twin Turkey-Syria earthquakes.

Midyat in Southeastern Anatolia is a museum city like its neighbour Mardin, approximately 1.5 hours away. Rock mansions, gates with arches, Süryani churches with minaret like ascending gong towers, characterize a medieval city.
Kahta

Kâhta is a town of 67,000 people in Southeastern Anatolia. Kahta, on lake of Atatürk Dam is a good base to explore the area and Mount Nemrut from, although there's not a lot of life in the town.
Hasankeyf

Hasankeyf is a small village located along the banks of the Tigris River in southeastern Turkey. It has been settled for perhaps as long as three millennia, though most cliff dwellings are around 2,000 years old.

Ergani is one of the major districts of Diyarbakır province in Southeastern Anatolia. Home to a population of around 138,000 people, it is the second largest city of the province after the capital, Diyarbakır.

Halfeti is a small town on the Euphrates in Southeastern Anatolia, Turkey near Şanlıurfa. It's a pretty location in a rocky valley with cliffs dropping down to the river.
